Stewardship

"As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace" (1 Pt 4:10).

What identifies a steward? Safeguarding material and human resources and using them responsibly are one answer; so is generous giving of time, talent, and treasure. But being a Christian steward means more. As Christian stewards, we receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord (1).

Corpus Christi Parish offers its members many opportunities for stewardship. Some of the options for donating your time and talent include: Usher, Cantor, Choir, Musician, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Fish Fry, Donating Food for Funerals, Altar Server, Card Ministry, Catechist, and much more. Stewardship Prayer

Loving God, You are the source of all that we are, and all that we have. Grant us the grace and strength to be good stewards of the many gifts You have bestowed upon us.

May we use our TIME wisely, in prayer, and in serving our brothers and sisters in their time of need.

May we use our TALENTS willingly, using the work of our hands and the work of our minds, all for Your Greater Glory.

May we use our TREASURE generously, not only to support our parish, but to provide for the needs of those around us.

Give us wisdom through the Holy Spirit, that we may realize that generosity and service to You and others will bring fulfillment and happiness into our lives.

We ask this through Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
